Title: Missing you all!
Post by: Garnet on Nov 06, 2016, 03:58 PM
Hi folks,

I am playing LotRO again, but playing mostly on Crickhollow, because the guys I play with on Wed and Sunday wanted to start over without any assistance from higher level characters, and they knew I couldnt bear not to help.

I'll be on Landroval off and on.

Kathy

Hello all,
I'll have to log on again one of these evenings. J...when do you guys usually play? I think my champ is 96-97 area....the only one I have advanced at all with. Others are all still where they were.

Veda and I (and sometimes Glo) do a weekly end-game raid (Throne) on our mains every Tuesday evening (8:30-11:30 pm server time).

We also play with a nice group of folks (Knock on Mirkwood kin) on Friday evenings (9-11 pm server time).  We're playing through the epic quest line mostly (and the instances).  We're currently in Moria; I think most of us are level 60-ish.

The Irony and Spite kin plays on Fridays, Sundays, and soon-to-be Saturdays - and would love some more people to join in.

I'd love to get a regular-ish group (ideally once a week) of 6 of us, so we could do the featured instance.  Just about any day could work for me.  Doing the new raid as a kin would be great - but we'd need a static group of at least 8-10 to make that work.  It's not too hard on Tier-1, but you need a couple of good tanks.

I think there's a lot of folks who would like to join in on a regular basis, if we just started something.  Would you be up for something weekly?

I think I could try to make something work on a weekly basis. I'm usually out at my girlfriends house from Fri night through Mon morning. So it would need to be a weekday evening for me. I sometimes do a trivia thing on Tues, but not always. I'd like to start playing some again.

Champ is at 104, should be 105 shortly. Warden is next I'm working on.

Congratulations. :)

(I made a Warden and tried to learn it, but could never get the hang of it.  Spamming heal/damage worked on everything, but cannot be how the class should be played.  If anyone knows of a plug-in or trainer of some kind, I'd like to try again.)

I started to write a couple warden plugins, but never finished.  The only one I use is now is BuffBars, which shows me the current buffs/debuffs on myself.

I have a java program I wrote which shows all the warden gambits, and what they do - and it what keys (or mastery keys - the ones that add 2) you need to use to build them.  It was designed to help create skill rotations.  Not worth the trouble unless you really want to maximize efficiency.    The program still works, but I'm not sure how accurate the data is - it's fairly old.

I've seen lists/charts that help with all the skills, but I <assume> that like other classes, most of the skills aren't really all that useful.  I suppose maybe I need a guide more than a plugin.  Which skills make a good rotation, ignoring PvP, T2C crap, etc.  Just a solid rotation that lets me solo 6-man stuff like other Wardens. :)

Jerry, what level is your warden? Have you done all the class deeds to get all the skills? I'm not a very good warden by any means, but you only need a few of the gambit chains to solo that stuff. Mostly the heals that you stack and some of the damage stuff. It goes slow, but you can solo stuff. kinda crazy what they can do solo.
